BrightStar supports 135+ currencies through Stripe. This guide covers currency configuration, conversion, and international payment best practices.

Settlement Currencies

Payouts in: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD
Others: Converted to settlement currency

Currency Configuration

Set event currency:

  1. 1Create/edit event
  2. 2Navigate to Tickets section
  3. 3Select currency from dropdown
  4. 4All ticket prices in selected currency
  5. 5Buyers see local currency (if different)
  6. 6Currency cannot change after first sale

Conversion Handling

Display Currency

Buyers see prices in their detected currency.
Conversion rate: Real-time from Stripe.

Charge Currency

Charged in event's set currency.
Buyer's bank may apply additional conversion.

Settlement Currency

Payout in your Stripe account currency.
Stripe conversion fee: ~1% if different from charge.
For international events, price in USD or EUR for widest recognition. Local attendees may prefer local currency — consider your primary audience.
